Do i need to check summon?

Yes, it's a good practice to check for any summons or fines before filing a claim regularly, especially if the damage resulted from a traffic violation or an accident. Here’s a step-by-step guide on how to check for summons and proceed with your claim:

How to Check for Summons, Parking & Traffic Offence and File a Claim

Step 1: Check for Summons

  1. Online Portals:

    • Visit the official website of your local traffic police or the relevant authority.
    • Use the vehicle registration number to check for any pending summons or fines.
  2. Mobile Apps:

    • Some regions have official mobile apps for checking traffic summons. Download the app and enter the necessary details to check for any fines.
  3. In-Person:

    • Visit your local traffic police station or relevant authority office.
    • Provide your vehicle registration number and any other required details to check for pending summons.

Step 2: Pay Any Outstanding Summons

  • If you find any summons or fines, make sure to pay them promptly.
  • Keep the payment receipts as they are required when filing your claim.

Step 3: Submit a Claim

  • Add Cases/Claim: Complete the claim form, attach the photos or any other supporting documents, summon rates, and submit
  • Attach Documents: Attach the photos and any other supporting documents to the claim form.

 

*The host should choose the minimum amount of offenses. DRIVE will not be responsible for late checking summons which caused the offenses to be increasing.

*The summon claim made after 12 months from the offence date will not be entertained.
